Switching to Unifi OS Server

I've been happily running the Docker container from Jacob Alberty forever. I cherish that unifi-docker system because I never need to think about it. When it’s time to update it, I just make a backup, then stop the current container and start a container and the newer version loads up.

But it seems that I need to think about switching:

– The jacobalberty repo mentions technical problems keeping up with the current release of Unifi
– Unifi is pushing everyone to Unifi OS Server as the wave of the future.

In the Issues of the unifi-docker site, I saw someone mentioned lemker's Docker container for Unifi OS Server, which is the next generation maintenance program for Unifi devices.

I got it working pretty easily. I documented the process over there, and created a CHECKLIST.md file that described exactly how to customize the config files. These will eventually become a formal part of the lemker repo's documentation, but I'm putting this info here for now.
